Before she arrived at Mother Jones, Titania went to Ghana where she tracked nomadic migrants from Niger and reported on HIV/AIDS. She attended San Francisco State University and wrote about Pacific Gas & Electric Co.’s transfer of hazardous waste into minority communities, which won an award from the Bay Area Black Journalists Association and The Newspaper Guild-CWA. The LA native’s work has appeared in the Ghanaian Times, the Spectator (Ghana), the Oakland Tribune, the San Mateo County Times, the Pasadena Weekly, and other publications.
