The nation's capital runs on

The nation's capital runs on compromise and favors incremental steps—and it tends to deal with what's immediate, not what's on the horizon. "It reacts best to crisis and emergencies," says League of Conservation Voters president Gene Karpinski. Environmental disasters can work wonders in propelling legislation: The Exxon Valdez spill brought new rules on oil transportation, Love Canal begat the Superfund law to clean up hazardous waste sites, and the Union Carbide gas leak in Bhopal, India, brought mandatory disclosure of toxic emissions. Well folks, I couldnt agree more with what you said, Mike at the jump manual review guide.

What will it take....
well, how about the Walton's estate selling all the shares in company's like First Solar before the State Capitals of this great union give the red...oops! blueprints to tat 5 & 10 cent store in the Ozarks. This green thing is about the rich getting richer not making life greener for the working class.

What would it take. Pretty simple.
RE-TOOL THE ENTIRE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

Coal, gas, oil, and atomic energy is destroying the planets livability and therefore the last forty-five years of ecological green revolution has brought into being the hi-tech tools to put into place wind, tidal, and solar power that transforms to electricity and is more power than can be used by society. No more blackouts. This non-pollution solution, (97%) is given freely in natures kinder laws and provides work for all and forever more. End pollution wars, not endless wars for more pollution. The new administration, for what its worth will only be viable if it moves away from pollution, aggressive war, legislated poverty, gender discrimination, and assorted misdemeanors and high crimes. It will inevitably fail if it continues the Bush betrayal of the U.S. constitution and the anti-fascist international laws that the U.S.A. is signed on to, as the supreme laws of the land. Davey Corn has arrived at the crossroads and is calling for and end to neutral revolution (do nothing) as warning which the industrial revolution implies. Revolution is not nuetral, it is the violent overthrow of one class by another. It is advocated by the revolutionaries that included it in the U.S. constitution when they pointedly said, that it is the right and duty of the people to alter (impeach) or abolish (revolution) any elected government that does not serve the peoples, and to replace it with one that does serve the needs of the peoples, plants, and animals--- the livability. That ecological green organic balance shall not perish from the earth and shall be saved forever by the natural organic real revolution, in which all life is in unity and struggle to bring into being now. The fact is the U.S. constitution is revolutionary when it upholds the anti-fascist side, which describes the planning and doing of aggressive war to be the supreme international crime on the planet. That is the point made by the Nuremburg Trials, chaired by the U.S. judge Jackson, and where the U.S. constitution says that international treaties signed on to by the U.S.A. are the supreme laws of the land. Washington D.C. will wake up when the laws of the land are upheld by the people again. The key word missing in the David Corn article is revolution. Obama cannot achieve all the promises of his election campaign unless the people rise and make those promises a reality. We the people of the world are waiting and watching for just such an event to take place. Herstory has proven that it takes two fundamental programmes to make a commonwealth election successful such as Obama suggests, and that is a majority, and a correct programme, both of which the Bush administration is lacking. Lincoln points that the catylist is the government of the people, for the people, and by the people. The green revolution suggests further of all livability, organic and inorganic. Arise ye prisoners of starvation.

Ahh.. the – very American seeming - Human Greed. My favorite virtue!
All Gore said it right: "If we have to chose between a Pot of Gold
and saving the Planet and thus Ourselves, we will always chose the Pot of Gold!"

I LOVE Socratic Questioning:

a.) If Governments would have told their Populace that the Planet is going to “Go Kaputt”
and All Life is going to *puff* end., what would have been the reactions of the very same Populace?

b.) If you know you can and will never be able to save the entire human race but yourself and Buddies “maybe” - would you still invest Trillions in seemingly senseless Space Programs?

c.)Would you then care to invest extensively in any other “solutions”, if you have an “Exit strategy”, only for you and your own, certainly?

d.)Assume the Energy and the Heat Output of Every single Nuclear Explosion on this Planet to be nearly equal to the Heat of the Surface of the Sun. Now, compare the size of the sun to the size of the Earth. Where do all those (Heat) and other Energy of all the “Testing” of Fission and Fusion Devices goes? Magically into Space or is Energy always transmuted but seldom completely trans-located?

e.) If there were a direct evidential connection between Nuclear Testings/Explosions and man-induced Global Climate Change, would you as one of the responsible Government admit that?
Or would you in fact have to fear the rage and “La Guillotine d' es gens”?

f.) Now, could Religion and the Creation of a Belief of the Return of their “Messiah” in a Global Climate Change catastrophically environment, then be just one of many instruments utilized to put the blindfold on and indoctrinate/appease the dumb down desperate “ I want to believe in Faries” peasants?

g.) And why would you want to really authentically do anything anyway, when you can can simply continue ripping off “carbon Credits” - the new shiny currency of the dumb mass- and simply pretend Everything is now “changing”; after all its a very globally warm/ cold .warm/cold winter in the U.S., n'est pas?

There's nothing quite like the smell of fresh fallacy in the morning. Ah, bracing.

Such as, for example, lumping the widely accepted and validated global climate change process in with Bush's lies about WMD as equally invalid "theories".

Now I can die a happy man, I've seen everything.
