Does anybody care to buy stock in
Diebold. The company that makes the
voting machines. Maybe we should bring
UN observors, after all. Well another
story for PBS NOW.

Add the FEC to the alphabet soup--FCC, FDA, FAA, SEC, etc.-- of government that has been disabled [with the complicity of the Democrats] by the current administration. I wonder if those who favor government small enough to be drowned in a bathtub will feel safer flying, less likely to be poisoned by the medications they take, more secure in their financial investments [HA!]; as long as their stocks in the military-corporate complex soar I guess they won't mind dying for their greed. Better that than on some proletarian battlefield, eh?

I'm of the opinion that this year's Selection process( You Select a Candidate, get it?) is all but bought-and-sold, hopefully not to some foreign king. So, sneer, boo, hiss, rotten cabbage and tomatoes in-flight...(sound of pitchfork being sharpened)

These politicians are acting more like kids choosing sides for a game of baseball. When are we going to get mature individuals in Congress who don't think of "compromise" as a dirty word? And I'm not talking about the Dems.

I personally think that Pres. Bush wants this situation to remain unresolved so the White House can get stolen for the sake of McCain. How could it be his win otherwise?

" ... the 2008 elections, which are bound to get ugly in their final months, could go virtually unregulated for the first time since the FEC was founded more than 30 years ago."

No, no -- our elections have already been *virtually* unregulated for at least 8 years. What we're looking at would be *literal* deregulation of the electoral process.

Maybe we could let the UN observers back in this time -- international standards should be good enough for us, since we say we are invading other countries to bring them democracy.
