In '99, a jury awarded more than $4.9 billion to six burn victims permanently disfigured when the GM car they were in exploded after being rear-ended.
Their attorney introduced a memo in which a GM engineer outlined a cost-benefit analysis that showed the company could save up to $4 per car by going with a different fuel tank--the one that exploded.
And according to the US Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB), nearly 200 dust explosions in US industrial facilities over the past twenty-five tears have resulted in approx. 100 fatalities--while CSB Chairman Merritt claims that "dust explosions are preventable."
Now we find that GSK and Co. have grossly distorted reports about the dangers of Paxil, regarding children and suicide.
My point here being--where in hell are those missing US prosecutors (and their "GREAT LEADER" ALBERTO GONZALES) when it comes to prosecuting what would seem to be the most blatant crime imaginable...?
