GOd forbit that borat's buddy might take over as senator. I lived in his district, and his is clueless. I've dealth with the staff of all of the MS delegation and his was the only one that wouldn't respond to letters, calls, etc.-and I was in his district. At least you'd get meetings with Trent's people.
Hell, Jim Herring, the Repub. party chairman for MS, had to about whip him to keep him from resigning his seat a couple of years back. Chip is totally mediocre

being from mississippi, i think a more likely replacement will be former attorney general mike moore. pickering has already announced his retirement from the house in order to, "spend more time with the family." i don't see him trying to get elected to the senate while his party is the minority, a fact which i suspect is the real reason he is leaving the house. mike moore is popular here. i think he has a real chance to pick up the seat.
