The Reuters article indicates that Zogby didn't find that the celebrity ad worked. Rather, Obama is losing support in his base. He's done too much of what prior Democrats have done to blow elections, try moving to the right to pick up swing voters. Obama hasn't gotten the swing voters, and disaffected supporters. It looks like bending on oil drilling really hurt, or it may have been a last straw. On the other hand, I was reassured when he said at Saddleback that the problem with the supreme court was they were too deferential to executive power.
