Out of Iraq
OUT OF IRAQ....Barack Obama visited an elementary school today and chatted with the children. From the pool report:
Then he told the kids he was opening the floor to questions, and proceeded to take more than double the number of questions than he took at his press conference....One child ask him about iraq and he said he plans to have troops home in.a year and a half.
This is good to hear. Obama wouldn't lie to a bunch of fourth graders, would he?

he said he plans to have troops home in a year and a half
Kevin, you are not cynical enough - he only claims he will have some troops home in a year and a half, so if he withdraws two soldiers he has complied with that statement. Now if he had said "all troops" then that might be a cause for celebration.
If our economy keeps going downhill, we won't have the necessary funds for the Defense Budget and all the troops will have to come home long before a year and a half. I would love to hear Obama say that he is withdrawing all U.S. Contractors that are not being paid by the Iraqi Governnment. The only reason our troops are there is to keep Haliburton's and KBR's contractors from getting the treatment they deserve for slipshod work-Water treatment Plants that don't work?
I think they were all glad he didn`t try & read to them from "My Pet Goat" while he was there.
Just guessing of course.
"...These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph...." - Thomas Paine
