Glenn Beck

| Fri Mar. 13, 2009 7:28 AM PDT
It's more and more obvious that Glenn Beck has decided that becoming a male Ann Coulter is good for his ratings.  So his show is now dedicated to saying increasingly outrageous things solely in an attempt to get liberals to denounce him and drive his ratings yet higher.  Conclusion: it's time to start ignoring him, right?

Coulter

Good luck; it took about three years for leftie blogs to get around to ignoring Coulter. On the other hand, Atrios has been giving Beck some attention for a while so maybe it won't be so long.

Isn't it supposed to

Isn't it supposed to be: "First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." Man, those conservatives get everything backward.

As long as they keep piping

As long as they keep piping him into airports and public spaces with the rest of headline news, I don't think the blogging demographic matters much.

I prefer Beck the singer.

Glenn is whack.

Be Careful

If Beck goes on a killing spree, it will be our fault.

Male

We already have a male Ann Coulter... Ann Coulter.

When was I not ignoring him?

Start ignoring him? I have spent less than five minutes out of my entire 59 years not ignoring him. But then, I'm not a blogger. If being a blogger means I would have to pay more attention to people like that I'll stay where I am, and let brave people like Kevin do the dirty work.

Help! Help!

Ignoring Beck

"...it's time to start ignoring him, right?" Apparently, I'm WAY ahead of the curve on that one!

Male version of AC? OK, too

Male version of AC? OK, too easy. But especially ironic, since Beck, while not seeming effeminate, certainly seems like a shrill, emasculated lump of... lumpiness. Her metaphorical balls are 10 times the size and potency of his literal ones. That adam's apple didn't grow itself.

Glenn who?

Glenn who?

Glenn who?

Glenn who?

Sorry about the repeated

Sorry about the repeated posts. But this website seriously jams up my IE. Trying to unjam it in my impatience, there is no telling what buttons will get hit repeatedly or what links will be opened. The weird thing is my comment posted 3 times, and I never even got to the captcha .

Ignore the Bore

Like thersites and Robert Earle, I've actively ignored Glenn Beck for years. The only attention I've paid is when Drum, Benen, Olbermann or someone else I respect has mentioned the little whacko.

Who's Glenn Beck?

Seriously, I've never watched his program before. Life is too precious to waste it on people like Beck (or any of his ignorant cohorts). Heck, I can't even watch Blitzer or any of those other TV fools (or is that "tools") without feeling I've just thrown away valuable seconds I'll never get back.

Who?

What? Did you say something?

Where?

Why?

Ann Coulter's....

...a female? WTF?

Glenn who?

I'm happy to continue ignoring this guy. I was barely aware of him before you and other bloggers mentioned him. Is there anybody else I don't know whom you'd suggest I ignore?

He seems to be saying

He seems to be saying conservatives have so little control over their impulses they're liable to slaughter innocent people without warning. Is Beck claiming this guy for the right? Absolving him of responsibility?

"Conclusion: it's time to

"Conclusion: it's time to start ignoring him, right?" Yes, but you're doin' it wrong!

The old "ignore them and they'll go away" meme won't die.

No matter how many times it turns out to be wrong. Let's not flatter ourselves. It's not about really about making liberals mad -- that's just a side benefit. It's about firing up the base.

名刺

Across the world, the position of women in society dramatically advanced after World War II. Japan was no exception. Thanks to the enactment of the Equal Employment Opportunity Law, women have found their way into a broader range of jobs. Drastic changes also occurred in education. The ratio of women going on to higher education significantly rose. In senior high school, both male and female students take homemaking courses, 名刺 and the traditional idea that men work outside the home while women engage in housework and child care is also weakening. The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women has been prompting such social changes. The United Nations General Assembly adopted the convention in 1979 in hopes that it would improve the status of women and human rights.

Glenn Beck

You better be right, becuase if you are not there will be no one there to so much as shed a tear for you.

The problem with Beck is

The problem with Beck is that he is correct all of the time.....its kind of scary. Maybe if everyone had listened to him TWO years ago we would not be in the mess that we are in today.

Glenn Beck

I agree.. chances are we'd be in a different mess.

A lot of people who don't

A lot of people who don't know Glenn Beck will assume that he is doing this to further his career. I don't know the guy personally and don't like his views but what he does is his business. I've never liked his show even when he was on CNN.
