Rachel Maddow Live!

| Tue Mar. 31, 2009 11:27 AM PDT
OK, it's not live.  She was live at a MoJo fundraiser on Saturday, though, and we taped her conversation with editors Clara Jeffery and Monika Bauerlein so everyone else could see it too.  The clip on the right is all about Maddow's secrets to ratings success, and there are more clips here.  View them all!

It was a packed event, and when it was over I was almost afraid Maddow was going to get trampled by the throngs of fans who wanted their picture taken with her.  Marian and I didn't stand a chance against the crowd, though, so no pictures of us I'm afraid. Maybe next time.

No pic?!

But Kevin ... you're the man. I thought the crowds would part for you like Moses before the Red Sea. And what's with all the heads in front of you ... I mean ... you work for MoJo right? You donated your front row center tix as a symbolic gesture against the high-flying life styles of the Wall Street elite, right? Tell me it's so. (Choking sob) [You want comments - we got comments].

picture with rachel

I suspect that if you had offered for her to have her picture taken with Inkblot that she would have jumped at the chance. Maybe even have offered to show up at your place - for a private session with his majesty. Next time you go to one of those things you should carry a large placard with the Inkmeister's face on it. You'd get first row, center stage tix, and probably a free bottle of Champagne.

advocated for bombing Pakistan

One of the few times I watched Ms. Maddow's program she advocated for bombing Pakistan. She needs a bench mark.

Could the stage at this

Could the stage at this fundraiser any better encapsulate the lengths to which liberals (particularly of this breed) go to look artistic, hip, and cutting edge? "Out of touch liberal" has lost its ring, but it certainly applies here. Look at those chairs! Most Americans would pay no heed to what was said on that stage by virtue of the scenery, which is a shame.
