Mark Sanford or Robert Gibbs: What Would You Do?

| Wed Jun. 24, 2009 9:13 AM PDT

Robert Gibbs' daily press briefing is scheduled for 1:45 at the White House. Recently MIA South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford is holding a televised press conference at 2:00 pm. What to do? I usually attend the White House briefing, but....Okay, I'll stick to routine. I'm off to the White House to Twitter the briefing. I suppose any major Sanford meltdown will be on YouTube.

bad decision

Although you'd walk out of the Sanford news conference with the irresistible urge to shower afterwards, it's guaranteed to be compelling. Can't help but wonder if the whole thing isn't some kind of a stab at performance art.

You made a big mistake.

You made a big mistake. Sanford news conference is jucier than hell.

Press briefing...

I hope this conference will have a good effect to the public...and have discussed issues to be resolved..

Bad call, David.

Unless Gibbs, say, slapped a reporter.

Yep, bad call

Sanford pity party much better than the generic crap they pitch through Gibbs.

David, David, David ...

You zigged when you could have zagged. Bad call. You so casually tossed aside the words "major Sanford meltdown", without knowing or realizing at the time that you were correctly predicting that presser's outcome. Mr. Gibbs would have understood and approved your absence, no doubt with a smile on his face.

Sanford and Fun

For once, the crime is worse than the coverup.

Gibbs presser

I understand that Gibbs admitted to a long term relationship with Dana Milbank at the press conference today.

crying shame

More's the pity, then, that Gibbs's boss is turning out to be so weak when it comes to gay rights.

Gibbs' boss has turned into

Gibbs' boss has turned into a squish on all issues.

Name one issue where he received push back where he did not immediately fold.

sorry...

... still thinking about that one.

Don't cry for me, Argentina!

Hopefully, others will take up the meme, until Sanford resigns..

It's all about choice

You win some, you lose some. See my next post.

I wouldn't "do" either of

I wouldn't "do" either of them. This is rather juvenile.

Oh . . . sorry, I misread this one.
