I love it. The White House is apopletic over Fox. So are liberal bloggers. If they only knew their constant whining and chattering really only helps Fox.

The MSM, as well as the White House and liberal bloggers, haven't figured out that Fox is just filling a gap in the marketplace. And that gap? A news organization that doesn't slant to the left. For years, the MSM was dominated by liberal news organizations: NYT, WaPo, LAT, NBC, CBS, ABC. Things were good - if you were a democrat or a liberal. You knew that the penetrating stories, analysis and scoops were all leveled at Republicans or conservatives. For example, it took Matt Drudge to break the Monica Lewinsky story. No other member of the MSM got near the story until Drudge broke it and it could no longer be ignored.

Along came Fox. Murdoch is no republican. He's no staunch conservative. Remember the 2008 election cycle? He was all chummy with Hillary Clinton. Loved her. He never said a positive word about McCain. He was never seen with him. Check out Fox TV; it's hardly a bastion of conservative values. No, Murdoch is a shrewd businessman. And you guys hate it. But you have no one to blame but the MSM.

Why are Fox's ratings so high? A conservative or republican has only one news channel: Fox. Liberals or democrats can go to CNN, MSNBC, CNBC on cable or NBC, CBS and ABC on free TV. Too many choices for a liberal/democrat. They'll never compete with Fox's cable ratings. Unless, of course, one of them starts to change their slant.

Heck, the MSM is so bad that the National Enquirer scooped the John Edwards scandal. I guess that wasn't important to the MSM; he was only a Democratic presidential hopeful. Probably one of a handful of Democratic politicians with nationwide exposure. Had he been a Republican, I can guarantee you the NE would not have scooped that story.

And as for Fox's "mendacity" - are you kidding? Dan Rather trotted out a pitifully-forged memo on national TV that made Bush look bad. The blogosphere debunked that garbage in sixty seconds. Yet Rather and the MSM took it hook, line and sinker without a modicum of fact-checking.

During the 2008 election, the LA Times sat on a story involving Obama attending a dinner in honor of Rashid Khalidi, noted anti-Semite and PLO operative. Heck, the LAT even had a video of the event. Why did they kill it? It wasn't newsworthy.

Of course not.

Sorry to inform you guys, but Fox News will only get stronger until the MSM changes its tune. And the White House will lose its fight against Fox every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

You guys have enjoyed decades of MSM slanting towards the left. Now that you have one outlet that doesn't, you freak out. Why are you scared of that one exception? What are you hiding? What's Obama hiding?
