Thanksgiving seems to beckon those who seldom prepare food to issue health inspector warnings about the need to cook a Turkey for at least a solar year to avoid any chance of turkey borne illness. Somehow, the fact that fowl, possibly including turkey has graced the table during the calendar on some days other than Thanksgiving never mitigates the need to obsess about how long to cook the bird.

Funny cartoon - except that, on behalf of all the graceful, majestic turkeys of the world, dead or alive, I say that calling Palin, Beck & the scum from wall street is an insult to turkeys!

Thanks its thanksgiving day again and all are very excited about black friday holiday season!If the Target Black Friday ad campaign is correct – then they might have shopping pandemonium on their hands with Target $3 appliances. The Target $3 appliances are made by Chefmate, which means they aren't lousy – you could get a coffeemaker, a sandwich maker, toaster, and a slow cooker, according to rumor, and you could potentially buy all three for under $15. Other items, including electronics and clothing will be deeply discounted at Target, but there's a catch – there always is. You have to show up on Black Friday at Target to take advantage of the Target $3 appliances along with other deals – you can't just use cheap payday loans and make a killing online.

Although juicy and tender butterball turkeys are the main cuisine of today's Thanksgiving celebrations, these birds were NOT the most popular centerpieces on the first Thanksgiving tables.
