WATCH: Agribusiness on the Assault (Cartoon)

| Tue May. 3, 2011 2:00 AM PDT

Mother Jones illustrator Zina Saunders creates editorial animations riffing on the political news and current events of the week. In this week's animation, a look at our sordid meat production industry where agribusiness has been pushing laws in a number of states that would criminalize shooting or displaying undercover videos that show animal abuse on farms. One such law has already passed the House in Iowa, and would carry a penalty of up to 5 years in jail. As always, that's Saunders with the voiceovers.
