U.S. Nukes Accidentally Roaming the Country

How does this happen exactly?

A B-52 bomber mistakenly loaded with at least five nuclear warheads flew from Minot Air Force Base, N.D, to Barksdale Air Force Base, La., on Aug. 30, resulting in an Air Force-wide investigation...

Wonkette speculates that Cheney is trying to finish off New Orleans. I doubt it. I'm guessing John Travolta and Howie Long are somehow involved; only Christian Slater can save us now.

no doubt travolta would love to fly the aircraft. he owns and flies his own 707 around for holidays, or one of his 4 other private jets.

all part of his 'spokesman for the environmental movement' image i guess.

Wow, I guess we can't even keep illegal weapons off of military flights, let alone commercial ones.

You people ave absolutely NO CONCEPTION of how serious a blunder this was!

This is just the leatest publicly-known result of the military's coming apart at the seams from undr-manning and over-tasking. Beofe you go to sleep at night imagine the kinds of screw-ups that you don't, and will never, know about.

That's OK, because as he US Air Force is considering a Reduction-in-Force (RIF) to get its manning down to the Congressionally-mandated cap of 300,000 airmen, you can rest easy knowing that the USAF is working hard perfecting the design of its new Service Dress uniform (looks like something the Prussian General Staff would wear), and is busily sending its over-workd aircrews to as many airshows as it possibly can, in order to connect with the American public and recruit more cannon fodder to be burned out then fired to satisfy the next manning cut down the road. More with less...that fantastically inflated DoD budget is all going to our overseas wars...and to new dress uniforms that people rarely wear and to airshows.
