On a similar note, California's initiative that would mandate parental notification for minors who want an abortion is also leading with 13% reporting, 51% to 49%.

What a despicable echo of the Cheneybush "culture" of hatred, division, and interference in the liberty of others. I voted against both of these because none of it is my bloody business, and, unlike the self-righteous (and thoroughy morally blind) rightist Republicans, I am content to allow families to deal with their own problems in their own way. If a minor cannot be honest with a parent, then there is something wrong with the parent. Do you want a 17-year-old girl to get a safe abortion, or would you rather have her beaten to death by an abusive father? You may claim to abhor "honor killings" -- but with this law in place, you can expect more of them. Shame on anyone who supports this sort of faux-moral BS.

Thanks to the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and all the brothers and sisters, Prop 8 passed and we also got a brother as President over the nation that oppressed our ancestors. We have finally come out of Egypt.
