Sanford Nixed from Values Voter Summit

| Wed Jun. 24, 2009 12:31 PM PDT

People for the American Way points out Mark Sanford has already been scratched from the list of confirmed and invited speakers at the 2009 Values Voter Summit. That was fast.

Obviously Sanford's affair didn't sit well with the Family Research Council, the conservative think tank that "champions marriage and family" and sponsors the summit. But, hey, even with Sanford gone you'll still be able to get your fair share of values voter inspiration—in the form of Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly and Pat Buchanan.

Is It Too Late To Get Tickets?!?!

To say nothing of Hannity, Palin.., and hey..., check out that Hollywood Contingent!
Stephen Baldwin, Ben Stein, Kirk Cameron, Gary Sinise...

I can hardly...< yawn >...wait to be told how to vote, by such an...< yawn >...illustrious panel of talking heads!

It's possibly expected...

I guess people will not be surprised if the council had removed Sanford from the list of invited speakers..I think mainly because he will no longer be a good role model in the community..It's sad to know that this had to happen.

Sister Carrie to ROCK the house!

Oh, good: Sister Carrie Prejean, Martyr Extraordinaire and Persecuted Christian Du Jour, will be in attendance. Hopefully, she will discuss the ethics of silicon gel implants vis a vis the beauty pageant industry. We already know where she stands regarding "opposite marriage," so that is a moot point.

But the burning question is: will she bring her Pastor Miles along?

Miles is another RAVING hypocrite: it would appear that we're just supposed to forget that he was a COKEHEAD and allow him to freely restrict the civil rights of another minority population.

I'm a values voter

None of these people have any moral values, in my opinion. They just brand themselves to be candidates and spokesholes for their brand of wedge issue. When it comes to the future of America and our people, they don't give a rat's ass about that.

Ben Stein should talk about

Ben Stein should talk about the value of honesty. The guy is such a liar. He constantly spreads disinformation about evolution that can be easily refuted by any first year biology student. It has to be a willful ignorance and rejection of the facts.

Have they learned nothing from Sanford? Every time conservatives take a holier-than-thou attitude about family values, one of them gets caught with their pants down. They need to just drop the pretense about being moral.
