Stephanie Mencimer: Wednesday, Sonia Sotomayor confessed that she was inspired to become a prosecutor by the TV show "Perry Mason." It was the rare candid admission by the Supreme Court nominee, and naturally, at least one member of Congress pounced on it.

I have no problem with a

I have no problem with a light approach to a serious issue as long as the question being asked is answered completely and honestly. I hope everyone, conservative and liberal alike, will not hold against Senator Franken the fact that he poked fun at society as his first job prior to his election and instead will focus on the issue he is commenting on and the point of his argument. It appears to me that he is seriously pressing Justice Sotomayor regarding her qualifications to the Supreme Court.
