Joe Wilson Wins Nativist Vote

| Thu Sep. 10, 2009 8:48 AM PDT

Rep. Joe Wilson may have apologized for heckling the president during his speech to Congress Wednesday, but plenty of people apparently wish he hadn't, most notably, Rush Limbaugh. But his outburst has earned him support among another fringe of the right-wing: immigration foes, who were thrilled to hear Wilson vocally challenge Obama on his claim that health care reform would not cover illegal immigrants. Today, the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALI-PAC) came to Wilson' defense, urging supporters to speak out online and on talk radio to support the South Carolina Republican.

"It is a real shame that the rest of Congress was not on their feet pointing out the President's lie about illegal aliens in his Health Care plans along with Joe Wilson," said William Gheen, the group's executive director. "Joe Wilson yelled out what millions of Americans were thinking during Obama's speech. We agree with what Joe Wilson said, even if we did not, we would defend his right as an American to speak his mind."

Gheen became a media phenom in 2005 after fighting a North Carolina bill that would have allowed some non-citizens to qualify for in-state tuition at some of North Carolina's public colleges and universities. A talk radio host, he is a prominent promoter of the reconquista conspiracy theory, believing that Mexicans are plotting to seize American territory. He has close ties to the Minutemen and other anti-immigration factions that the Southern Poverty Law Center has deemed hate groups. Wilson may have disgraced his party last night, but for guys like Gheen, Wilson is a bona fide hero.

Joe Lies

When Joe said "This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President's remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill" , I think JOE was lying.

The reason I think Joe was lying is because Barack has been telling lies for so long, people should be used to it by now.

I am.

Illegals is a red herring.

It is absurd to think that illegal aliens are going to be excluded from healthcare.

Number one, equal protection under the law. Sorry, you can't discriminate, the courts will rule in favor of them getting care.

Number two, how stupid is it to deny health care to our illegal workers and their families? You want them to wait until they need to go the the ER which will cost 10 or 20 times as much as a visit to a doctor or clinic? Do you want population that never gets treatment for infections? This is just STUPID, which at America Inc., seems to be job two, right after WAR.

Number three, it is immoral and unconscionable to provide care for some but not for others, which just shows how immoral and unconscious people in politics and the MSM are. Too bad a lot of people are under their BALEFUL, EVIL and ODIOUS influence.

Number four, what? Do you expect their employers to foot the bill for their illegal employees health care? How stupid are you?

I really love how those on

I really love how those on the right always seem to jump right in with defending someone's right to speak their mind .... when they agree with what was said. Otherwise, the speaker is an unAmerican, socialist, terrorist-loving scum-bag.

Leftist Versions of Archie Bunker

Joe Wilson lacked decorum, but BHO lacked truthfulness, which is the greater sin. The President of the United States lied to both houses of Congress on national television. For pity's sake, wake up. Illegal aliens will be covered because there is nothing to prevent them from being covered. Obama lied straight in the teeth of the Congressional Budget Office about the costs of his reform bill, too. I suppose some people think that Aunt Nancy can just rev up the printing presses and run off an extra trillion or two without it really costing anything....? That's the La-La Land of Washington, where everything is free and nobody has to work or pay for anything, and oh, by the way, there will be endless surplus to pay for magazine subscriptions.....

"Whining" Willy Gheen a media phenom? Naaaa

tagged as:

Surely you jest! Willy Gheen is nothing but a pathetic excuse for a human being who has made Mexico bashing the face of the immigration debate.

Willy has found a way to prey on peoples unreasonable fears and use his miniscule base of followers to fund his lifestyle. Check his FEC filings for his PAC, (when he bothers to make them)

Willy has this bad habit of taking credit for things he has nothing to do with and when he fails, blaming his failure on the "reconquistas" whatever the hell that is or the mythical "Open Borders Lobby", which is a figment of his demented imagination.

He uses hate to fill his coffers while hiding behind numerous disclaimers on his little website.

Whining Willy Gheen is nothing but an opportunist, a scam artist, a modern PT Barnun

Oh, and by the way, he failed again keeping illegals out of colleges in NC

Patriotic Americans for sensible immigration reform
