Funny you should be talking about credibility, Chris!

It's funny to see Chris Matthews throwing stones in his glasshouse, laughing about Cheney's and Kristol's abysmal credibility, after he himself famously claimed to have opposed the Iraq War from the start, a lie thoroughly debunked (see e.g. Media Matters). No wonder he or described Tim Russert as a "role model" (yeah, that Tim Russert loved by Cheney's office because his show allowed them to spew their war-mongering propaganda).

Matthews is just flying his flag in the wind, and doesn't really care. He's sort of like a cheap actor who can only play one role. You get a feel for it when he talks about how he likes Liz Cheney and this right-wing financier as people, while they're responsible for these political acts that Matthews ostensibly despises. Matthews is just not somebody to take seriously.
