The battleship USS Missouri (BB 63) arrives at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard on October 14, 2009 to begin a three-month, $18 million effort of extensive maintenance and preservation work. Missouri is the last battleship made by the U.S., and was the site of Japan's unconditional surrender ending World War II. (US Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Mark Logico.)

... it's a museum now.

The Mighty Mo is a museum. It's no longer a battle ship. It was decomissioned in 1992. How does this make a good "We're still at war." entry?

As part of the precommissioning crew 20 years ago....

the Missouri actually IS still a battleship as that is a type of ship just as the USS Constitution is a still frigate. The difference is that Missouri is no longer a commissioned ship of the Navy. Therefore, the "USS" designation does not apply. The USS Constitution is still commissioned and, therefore, remains a US Navy warship.
