5 Reasons Dems Should Hope J.D. Hayworth Challenges McCain

J.D. Hayworth, the ultra-conservative Rep. turned talk radio host from Arizona, has emerged as a possible challenger to John McCain in the 2010 Senate primary. And according to a recent Rasmussen poll, he only trails the former presidential candidate by two points. Hayworth's candidacy would be awful for the GOP because he is likely too conservative for a general election battle and could weaken the already fragile McCain. Five reasons Dems should hope J.D. Hayworth enters the race:
- Hayworth has been investigated by the US Justice Department for accepting cash and gifts from disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his cronies. This shady connection contributed to the loss of his House seat in 2006.
- Hayworth has been accused of antisemitism. In his 2006 anti-immigration manifesto, Hayworth praised Henry Ford's "Americanization" vision. Ford used this term to describe "the Jew" who "inveighs against Americanism" for refusing to assimilate. In February, Hayworth appeared on Hardball claiming that Sen. Chuck Schumer and George Soros—"the guy in the background…manipulating all of the currency," a reference which Steve Benen says is highly problematic—should be blamed for the financial crisis instead of the Bush administration. He also has ties to Neo-Nazis.
- His connection to "Birthers" and love for Orly Taitz. He once hosted Taitz on his radio show, calling her "Doctor" and treating her like a legal expert, instead of the supposed perjurer she is.
- His close relationships with Arizona's most notorious anti-immigrant crusaders. Next month, Maricopa County’s infamous Sheriff Joe Arpaio will host a fundraiser for Hayworth's "Freedom In Truth Trust." In another recent Rasmussen poll, Arpaio polled 15 points ahead of the likely Democratic gubernatorial candidate, state AG Terry Goddard, and said on Twitter this week that "if ever there was a time to consider a run, now may be the time."
- And finally, look what happened to Dede Scozzafava and Doug Hoffman in NY 23.

I'd give this an "A-Plus" for creativity, especially the phrase, "supposed perjurer"--- That's destined to become a notable entry in the Semantics War.
Just what is it about the fact that Obama's PAC has paid over a million dollars to suppress a birth certificate that doesn't ring any bells for you?
Who pays over a million to hide a birth certificate? Let's see those logic circuits burning bright....aw, well, maybe.....there's something to hide? Would you pay that kind of money to quash YOUR birth certificate? So maybe those viciously maligned "birthers" have a point?
And what is it about the term "illegal" that you don't understand? As in "illegal alien"---?
Why is being against George Soros being "anti-Semitic"? I'm a Norwegian Lutheran. If you don't like what I'm saying or doing, are you "anti-Norwegian Lutheran"?
Similarly, if I don't like Nancy Pelosi and what she stands for, am I a "Nazi"? What's the connection between not liking Madam Speaker and her politics and Adolph Hitler? Fascism? But Nancy Pelosi is a fascist, so.....how can her critic be decried as a fascist?
And also, what does the Republican screw up in New York---where they were dumb enough to endorse a RINO and split the vote----have anything to do with the subject of your article? You think they'll be dumb enough to do that again?

Fascists believe in government control of everything, charismatic leaders, government ownership of assets, gun control, fiat monetary systems, police control, the works--- exactly the system Nancy Pelosi espouses. Just imagine a giant beehive, and you have the world according to Nancy Pelosi---and also according to Adolph Hitler, the most famous fascist Queen Bee to date.

So far I have been right about Global Schmarming, Fort Hood, and only God knows how many issues that the liberal press including Mojo have completely tanked on. It's not my fault that I have common sense and critical skills.
As for the viciously attacked "birthers"---all those court "defeats" aren't really defeats. The lower courts are kicking it upstairs because it is a Constitutional issue. And a really tacky, problematic constitutional issue, too. Go read David O. Carter's decision for yourself.
Nobody pays over a million bucks to keep a birth certificate private. Period. Quote me. Take it to the bank. Someday this will be another huge scandal in American history 101. All the politically correct journalists will look like completely ignorant, incompetent fools. So what else is new?
Absent a serious problem, Obama's PAC would never, ever pay that quash money out. They'd just fork over the real birth certificate and be done with it. And that simple realization is what prompts the birthers to ask---? What the?

This doesn’t even include the infamous Palmer Raids (named after Wilson’s attorney general) that occurred after the war.
In 1915, in his address to Congress, Wilson declared, “The gravest threats against our national peace and safety have been uttered within our own borders. There are citizens of the United States, I blush to admit, born under other flags…who have poured the poison of disloyalty into the very arteries of our national life; who have sought to bring the authority and good name of our Government into contempt, to destroy our industries wherever they thought it effective for their vindictive purposes….”
All in all it is estimated that about 175,000 Americans were arrested for failing to demonstrate their patriotism in one way or another.
