Fiore Cartoon: Palin the Turkey
The biggest turkeys this Thanksgiving aren't of the bird variety. They're people like Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck.
Who else makes the cut? Watch Mark Fiore's cartoon below to find out:

Double Good Double
Huh? Sarah is doing double good on her presidential book tour of duplicities.
Get a clue, Mojo
Not all your readers are of the rabid Dem breed. In fact, quite a few of them are literate and check more than one news source. Taking pot shots at Sarah Palin's personality does nothing to encourage rational debate of the issues, problem solving---any of that good stuff that your publication is supposed to be about.
It's the same thing with personal Barack Obama bashing. I am just as offended by this turkey treatment of Sarah as I would be if you did a monkey cartoon of Obama. Okay? Not appropriate. Shouldn't be part of the great debate our nation is engaged in. These leaders are probably equally inept, but neither one should be personally attacked. They are humans, too.
Speaking for a good share if not all your readers, we don't care for pettiness and personal attacks that are, well, personal. And, hey, quite a few of us---ah, OWN guns?
Re: Get a clue, Mojo
"And, hey, quite a few of us---ah, OWN guns?" Is this a threat, or just one of your usual non sequiturs?
You don't speak for me, nor do you speak for any reader but yourself, got that?
You say you don't "care for pettiness and personal attacks", yet right off the bat you call Democrats, "rabid". Laws are for the other guy, right?
Taking pot shots as Sarah Palin's personality plays to due cause, your honor. She is an inveterate prevaricator, a sociopath, and a greedy bitch, to boot. Sarah Palin is the least-qualified "unannounced" political candidates. People watch her for the same reason they watch stock car races: they're a bunch of hicks driving around in circles wasting gas, but you know sooner or later there's going to be a horrific crash, and you want to be there when it happens.
It's a fear response, Avannavon.
When presented with a shining example of all those things they have been taught to fear, rather than responding with analysis the limbic brain of the liberal is excited and the liberal starts snapping his jaws and hurling epithets. It serves to release the pent up anger and fear derived from living at odds with reality.
"Raourrrrr!!! Palin's a gun toting turkey! Raourrr!!!" Nice point, pal. Two thumbs way up.
As always, Mark Fiore is
As always, Mark Fiore is right on the money with this cartoon. Purchasing firearms is alarmingly easy here in the United States. However, I was taken aback with his portrayal of Cho Seung-Hui. The mentally ill are just that - ill. They do not elect to hear voices in their head, nor do they do not voluntarily allow themselves to succumb to delusion. Schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc. are medical conditions no different than heart disease or cancer. What Cho Seung-Hui was horrible, but we must refrain from ridiculing people with mental illness. Drawing the mentally ill with broken-flowerpots on their head does nothing to help alleviate the stigma of mental illness.Society failed on so many levels here. Cho was not given the care and treatment he so desperately needed, but was allowed to entertain his 'God given' right to own a deadly weapon.
very good review...thanks

Well, why is it that turkey
Well, why is it that turkey is always involve on thanksgiving? Is it a tradition or turkey is a good variety of bird? The power of the internet is unlimited. It has evolved into something of global demand as more people are leaving the traditional ways of communicating and running to the internet to give ‘fast’ and ‘convenience’ a whole new meaning. Just about anything can be got online; cars, household goods, payday loans, all manner of clothing, or tools for credit repair. The internet has increased communication in a way previously impossible. The internet has exploded, and opened doors to almost anything and everything, including finance and employment opportunities.
