Dear fans of Mother Jones Radio:

As many of you know by now, Mother Jones Radio broadcast its last show on December 31. Thanks to all of you for your attention and enthusiasm – we were very sorry to have to suspend production of the show, and we were buoyed by the kind words many of you have sent since we signed off.

The reason, in a nutshell, was money. Though the costs of producing the weekly show were quite modest, our ability to offset those costs with revenue from advertising and/or contributions was still more so. We are all very proud of what host Angie Coiro and producer Katrina Rill were able to accomplish. Check out the robust archive if you have any doubt – it’s proof positive that Mother Jones’ investigative reporting has a vital life beyond the written word. Our prediction: in some form or other, the essence of Mother Jones Radio will be back. In the meantime, thanks for listening.
