It's exactly what President

It's exactly what President Eisenhower warned against: a military/industrial complex. Unscrupulous war profiteers who don't care whether a project or product is NEEDED - especially after test runs, etc. have shown it under-performing or not needed at all. Anything goes so long as their greed can be satisfied.

Thanks

Thanks, D.S. --- good brain candy, practical insights, what more could I ask? That the Washington Post picked up on it....but there is one more thing I'd like to ask. Please stop supporting Obama on the assumption that he is ever going to be anything but another flavor of corruption? He promised to end the Patriot Act, remember? What has he done? Extended it and kept ALL the dangerous executive powers that our idiot Congress gave Bush. And Gitmo? He didn't release anyone. He made illegal detention "permanent"---like "W" on steroids, and so far has managed to cover it up, too.

Go higher

The actual cost is more like $1.4+ trillion. Check out :

Thank you, d.s. The brain - well, practical point of view, candy can I ask you something? The Washington post company, pick it... But there's one thing I want to ask. Please stop supporting Obama in assume what he wants, but another taste of corruption? He promised to end the patriot act, remember? What has he done? Expand it, all the dangers of administrative power, our idiot congress gave bush. And Gitmo? He did not release any. His "forever" -- the unlawful detention "W", so far in response to steroid therapy has tried to conceal the truth.
