Interns are eligible to apply for a fellowship to begin after the completion of their six-month internship. Interns who distinguish themselves in their duties, show exceptional initiative, and otherwise show excellent progress and accomplishment during their internship will be asked to stay on as fellows for an additional six months. Fellows at Mother Jones are given additional duties and responsibilities. Editorial fellows are expected to pursue more in-depth research, reporting, and other projects as part of the Mother Jones team. All fellows receive $1,400 per month.
