Editors’ note: Mother Jones illustrator Zina Saunders creates editorial animations riffing on the political news and current events of the week. In this week’s animation, she imagines the future for Mississippi women if the “personhood” amendment passes on the November 8th ballot. As Mother Jones’ Kate Sheppard has reported, the amendment would outlaw abortion, several types of birth control, and, possibly, all forms of hormonal contraception. As always, that’s Zina Saunders doing her own voice work.
